Delicious Cookie Ice Cream Dessert

Just for fun I wanted to post a picture of my mom's and my yummy dessert we had at one of our favorite restaurants.  Doesn't that look so good?

I think it would be fun to make at home!  Just bake a chocolate chip cookie and put it on a plate or in a bowl.  Add a few scoops of vanilla ice cream, put whipped cream around the sides, add another chocolate chip cookie on top, then drizzle caramel and chocolate sauce on top.  I'm going to try to make it at home.  If you want to also... that would be awesome!  Plus it would be so delicious for you and your family!

July Monthly Kid Box

Happy 4th of July!  Today my mom gave me my monthly box for July and it was so fun opening it!

She wasn't ready for the box, because she said she didn't buy the toy or treat she wanted to add.  There was a couple of 4th of July items in there so she wanted me to open it today.

I love Pikmi Pops!  I got this cute little fox!

This year I really love the 4th of July!  I earned the Great American Award this year at school.  So, after learning so much about this amazing county ~ I love this holiday!

I have all of the Barbie movies, but a little awhile ago we realized we missed one so my mom bought me this one.

I got cute, owl fabric so I can sew something and a mug craft kit that I'm really excited about!

I got body cream with a scent I've never had before ~ Pearberry.  It smells so good!  My mom bought me this cute tank top for summer!

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!!!

The Best Monthly Kid Box

The best monthly kid box is... the one that parents make!  The DIY kind.

I used to have a few monthly subscription boxes, but I never got a box that I loved everything in it.  I would get some great things and some things I would never use.  I ended up canceling the subscriptions boxes.

My mom tried researching for the perfect subscription box, then she thought of a great idea ~ to create one.  Now once a month my mom gives me a box filled with fun stuff that I will love!  She gets some things on sale so it seems like a real subscription box.  To feel like I get a lot of value out of it, but not spend as much.

Each month she is going to try to buy an item of clothing, a craft, a beauty product/accessories, a surprise bag, a media item like a book or DVD, a treat, and a toy.  This box didn't have a media item in it because she had one coming in the mail, but I was too excited and wanted to open the box.  So the next box will have the media item.

My mom bought a container and some fabric to wrap up the items in it.  She bought a container to make it easier to reuse each month for the box.

If you are wanting a monthly box, but can't decide on one have a parent create one for you. It's perfect and super fun!

How To Be Positive When You're Around Someone You Think Is Hard To Be Around

A couple of years ago in school there was a student in my class that was very loud, that interrupted the teacher a lot, and didn't want to do his school work.  Sometimes he made it hard for the class to concentrate or even hear the teacher.

My mom told me to think about the positive things about this student.  After a week of thinking positive things about him, things changed for me.  I thought he was funny, and he was a fun kid to be around.

After thinking positive things about someone can really change everything about how you think and feel about them!  My mom will write out a list of positive things about someone if she needs to and that will help her.  Plus when she sees them she will try to only think about the positive things about them.

Try this if you are having a hard time with someone and you want to be happy around them.  It works!

Accomplishing Goals Is The Best!

This week at school I was awarded The Great American Award!  I worked so hard for this and I'm so glad I accomplished this goal!

In the fifth grade at my school The Great American Award is offered.  Usually about ten to fifteen students get the award, but this year it was only my friend and me.

For the award I had to memorize all of the presidents in order, memorize the Gettysburg Address, name all of the states and capitals ~ plus show them on the map, take seven tests about the United States and the history, write out the Pledge of Allegiance, and say/sing the Star Spangled Banner.

It was amazing to learn so much about this great country!  I'm so glad I did this!

Plus last week I earned the Black Belt for the Recorder in my music class!  I found out that I'm the only student that earned it.  There are other students that got half way done.  It's so fun to learn songs on the recorder and I highly recommend working for this award!  Also the Great American Award if your school offers these two amazing things!

Keeping A Gratitude Journal

Keeping a gratitude journal is something I think is important to have if you're wanting to feel great about life.  If you want to be truly happy!  A little after starting a gratitude journal you will see a change in how you feel.

If you don't know what a gratitude journal is ~ I will explain.  It's a journal or a notebook you purchase only to write a list of things you are grateful for.  Doing this daily is best or if you don't have time every day try to do this as often as you can.

You can make a list of things you are grateful for every day.  You can make a long list or just list ten things.  If you want to you can write out... I am thankful for_____________ because _______________.  When you write out why you are thankful for something it makes it a better feeling.  Or you could just write out what you are thankful for and then think of why you are thankful for that.

I know that once you start a gratitude journal you will feel great!

How To Achieve Your Goals

My mom talks a lot about vision boards and has one.  It's a great way to focus on achieving what you want in life.  She has a lot on her board.  I'm working on mine, but I'm just putting up a few things.

A vision board is pictures of things you want in life.  Goals you have in life.  Put pictures on a board, look at it every day, think positive about achieving those goals, then it will happen.

My mom told me that years ago they did a study at a college.  I guess 3% of the students in the class wrote down their goals.  Years later when they followed up with the students of the class, those 3% were the only ones who accomplished their goals.

Write down your goals, focus on them, think positive about them, and then one day you will accomplish your goals!
