Accomplishing Goals Is The Best!

This week at school I was awarded The Great American Award!  I worked so hard for this and I'm so glad I accomplished this goal!

In the fifth grade at my school The Great American Award is offered.  Usually about ten to fifteen students get the award, but this year it was only my friend and me.

For the award I had to memorize all of the presidents in order, memorize the Gettysburg Address, name all of the states and capitals ~ plus show them on the map, take seven tests about the United States and the history, write out the Pledge of Allegiance, and say/sing the Star Spangled Banner. 

It was amazing to learn so much about this great country!  I'm so glad I did this!

Plus last week I earned the Black Belt for the Recorder in my music class!  I found out that I'm the only student that earned it.  There are other students that got half way done.  It's so fun to learn songs on the recorder and I highly recommend working for this award!  Also the Great American Award if your school offers these two amazing things!
